We’ve, also, added the Shell gas station on HWY 5 & Reynolds along with the Shell gas station on the service road just before south street that is in between Dan’s I-30 Diner and the new Hog Heaven Diner.
Speaking of which, beginning here in the next week or so, Hog Heaven Diner will have their own edition of Coffee News! They are really known for their Hog Heaven Burger, Hog Dog and their Bourbon Pecan Pie!!

As I went in to Dentures and Dental Services in Bryant this morning to drop off a few copies, I heard a voice from behind me ask if that was a “new one”. I responded “hot of the presses!” The gentleman remarked how he had started reading the paper recently, and he absolutely loved it! The lady next to him asked for a copy as well, and she remarked how much she enjoyed reading it each week as well. It made me feel great to know I was bring smiles to complete strangers each week, and now I have two new friends thanks to Coffee News!
Which reminds me. I’m not sure if you realize I have in my contest entry form a line asking entrants why they love to read Coffee News. It has amazed me how many entries have something about how much they like the local ads. Think about that. No one picks up a newspaper or magazine for the ads. No one watches TV aside from the Super Bowl for the commercials. In fact with both radio and tv, we have gotten good at forwarding through commercials with DVR and paying for satellite subscription services. Here Coffee News sits as a form of entertainment that can be enjoyed in a total of 5 to 8 minutes each week, yet readers not only enjoy the content, they actually pick it up each week to see the local business ads!! What a great compliment to the power and effectiveness of advertising through Coffee News for a local business!
Starting next week, look for a special coupon within the Kay’s ad, and you can get a discount when you get your clothes altered! She also does custom bedding, draperies and even bedding for your pets! She is located behind Walmart in the shopping center next to Century 21. Be sure to take the Coffee News ad, so you can get your discount! I hear she does fantastic work, and I know I need a few clothes taken in after being on this 90-day challenge, so I’ll race you there starting next week!
Excited to announce Coffee News has been given permission to approach all Shell Gas Station Service Centers to have Coffee News delivered each week! Local owner of most of the Central Arkansas locations called me this morning to introduce himself! We’re in a few in Saline County, but I’m always excited to add a few more locations!
